A Knight of La Mancha
A downloadable game
A KNIGHT OF LA MANCHA provides alternative rules for LONGSWORD, allowing you to play as a knight like Don Quixote — a man who believes himself to be a knight, despite living in the 17th century — and his squire, Sancho Panza — who, despite his doubts as to Quixote's knighthood, is only all too willing to assist when his greed or foolishness lures him back in.
Existing in 17th century Spain, the quests of a Knight of La Mancha feature dual perspectives: the real world, in which the Squire lives, and the fantasy world that the Knight perceives, inspired by the real one.
In addition to this supplement, you’ll need the LONGSWORD Knights and Game Masters Guides to play. Some key changes and additions include:
- Within Tests, NPC Wounds are Replaced by Frustrations & Favor
- Squires: Vices, Helping Knights, Quirks, Desires, and Grievances
- Knights: Delusions, and various other modifications
- Random adventure tables: Reality and delusion
Based on LONGSWORD by Viditya Voleti. A Knight of La Mancha is an independent work compatible with LONGSWORD but not affiliated with Viditya Voleti.
Public domain art from Gustave Doré's 1863 illustrations to Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote.
